Rewind the clock back a few years now, 09 to be exact. I ended up making this parody edit, for no reason other than trying to be funny. Sometimes I’m ok at it, most of the time I’m really bad. For some reason this worked out! I had a pop at my current employers (Ride UK), employers from the past and one or two bike companies too. But I guess everyone knew it was in jest, as no one said anything to me (yet)!!

Van Homan is the focal point behind this video. Originally I wasn’t brave enough to put it online, until my friend James Cox got hold of it and threw it right up on the Retribution site and titled it “Van Homan Will Save Us”. From then it kind of turned viral for a short period of time, getting deleted from Vimeo and YouTube on the way.

After seeing a photo of Van at Interbike with the “Van Homan Will Save Us” plastic cups was potentially the highlight of my riding life! James still has a signed screen grab up on his wall, and we even made a bunch of t-shirts.

When me and my closest friends ride, all we do is attack each other in the name of humour, and this was just a reflection of that I guess. Sorry if anyone was offended, but I think on the whole everyone took it with a pinch of salt.

And remember kids, VAN HOMAN WILL SAVE US.
