I’m sure a lot of you are very aware that the FISE UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup took place over in Montpellier, France over the past few days. It all kicked off on the 4th of May and 160.000 people were in attendance for the event.
On the first day we saw a couple of BMX events such as the Amature Spine Ramp comp where a young and very talented UK rider named Mike Hullock took the first place spot, it was well deserved I think.
The next day was full of qualifiers in the BMX event category such as BMX Freestyle Park (Amature), BMX Park World Cup. Some incredible stuff went down and it was starting to become clear who was sitting in which position in the table.
Fast forward to the 6th of May now… The Pro Spine Ramp qualifiers were in full swing from 9:30am, straight after were the Freestyle Park Amature qualifiers. A few hours later we saw the action happen in the BMX Spine Ramp Pro event where Logan Martin took the win, closely followed by Daniel Dhers & Mark Webb in 2nd and 3rd.
On the 7th The BMX Street Pro Contest kicked off and everyone in the comp absolutely sent it! But Courage Adams definitely stole the show and impressed the judges and the crowd were in awe at his technical skills and the ability to link up pretty much any trick with a controlled manny in between. Always amazing to see, he stood out for me as well as Joris Coulomb‘s silky smooth tech skills.

The final day of FISE Montpellier was a corker! A whole bunch of finale events lined up in various categories which includes the greatly anticipated UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup. UK Total BMX rider Alex Coleborn absolutely smashed the course to pieces, he sent bangers over pretty much everything he touched. Watch both his first, second runs which landed him a 1st in the Semi Finals. But as the finals were called off due to the bad weather, that meant Alex took the win! Congrats dude.
