Here’s 10 UK BMXers who you should be keeping an eye on, for no other reason than they’re sick at riding, and happen to be good set of lads too. Psyched on this…
10. Lewis Anderson
Lewis is from London and can often be found down The Spot roasting! He picked up a Wethepeople flow gig last year, which I think is still going strong. He’s usually in stealth mode just getting on with his own thing, in his own incredible style.
9. Jamie “GINNER” Nunn
The apprentice of RUDE’EN’s Jambul and Dale Armstrong, Ginner is an absolute street beast. We had him in the mag a couple of issues back dropping a huge feeble. He’s featured heavily in the recent WYBMX edits, and when not destroying ledges in Bradford, he’ll be found down the footy pitch making grown men look like toddlers.
8. Sean Kelly
Sean Kelly got picked up by Proper Bike Co about a year ago. He hails From Sunderland and is always keen on a wet North East session, he’s been getting better and better. Such a natural rider, and without doubt needs to be locked on your radar.
7. Malick Cham
The above Sibot edit was all we’d seen from Malick Cham, and word on the street is he’s just picked up a flow deal from 4 Down Distribution/Sibot. This kid has style beyond his years. Crawley is his local, and he can be found down there making BMX look sick on a pretty regular basis.
6. Connor Phimister
Conner killed it right up to, and during the Shop Battle Event we had a couple months back for Hardcore Hobbies. Able to ride pretty much anything he wants, he’s not shy in the slightest when it comes to sending it. Really looking forward to what he has up his sleeve next…
5. Scott Atkinson
Scott Atkinson is like Harry Potter on speed! This kid is seriously sick. Only a few months ago Scott was hooked up on a flow gig from Subrosa via Seventies and Notion Store in Leeds. Never off his bike, and always looking for a good time, Scotty is pure BMX through and through…
4. Ben Grist
Ben first hit our radar via the above edit, which was posted on Youtube. We shared it on the site and for a couple days things went crazy on our Facebook page! Ben is working on a follow up right now, and we’ll have it here as an exclusive real soon. This is not to be missed.
3. Olly Rendle
Foundation BMX’s Olly Rendle has pretty much everything on lockdown. We’d seen a few bits and pieces over the year from this kid, and then the above edit dropped, reinforcing the fact you must not, under any circumstances let Ollie out of your sight!
2. Louis Robinson
There’s no coincidence that Ollie Rendle’s buddy Louis Robinson is on the list. Not only is this guy insanely good at riding a BMX bike, he gets it.. On so many levels this guy gets it, and thats really important. It’s all good being a great rider, but when you’re smart and a nice dude to boot, then you’re the type of guy people want to A. ride with and B. drink a whole bunch of lager beer with. This, I’m into. Louis is on a flow gig via Foundation BMX and United.
1. Joe Embrey
In all fairness, we’ve actually had Joe in the mag, in probably the last 3 issues or so on the bounce! Unlike the rest of the crew featured, he’s definitely getting regular, well deserved coverage. This is because Joe likes to get about a bit! He’s everywhere, off his own back, enjoying BMX and killing it every time we see him. Out of everyone worth keeping a beady eye on in the not so distant, 4Down’s Joe Embrey is number one thats for sure.
