Kink BMX, based in Rochester, New York, offers high-end aftermarket BMX bike parts and complete bicycles, as well as a clothing collection. Established in 1994, Kink still has the same mission today as it did when it began – to help its customers have a good time, enjoy being on their bikes, and spend time with friends.
Its range of complete bikes for 2015 includes some of the most solid, highest quality, and best looking around. Top of the line is the ‘Solace’ Tony Hamlin signature model in matte raw, featuring 100% 4130 chromoly frame with double butted top and down tube, Kink ‘Foundation’ forks with one-piece CNC steerer tube, ‘Solace’ Bars, made from 13-butted 4130 chromoly, and ‘Solace Stealth’ seat.
Many of Kink’s frames, forks and handlebars, including the parts in the ‘Solace’ line, are manufactured using TruTherm, Kink’s own post-weld heat treating process. Kink has spent several years working closely with its manufacturers to perfect the TruTherm technique, and all TruTherm products are backed by a lifetime guarantee.
Besides Hamlin, Kink’s Pro team features Chris Doyle, KC Badger, Dan Coller, Albert Mercado, Sean Sexton, Chad Osburn, Darryl Tocco, Aaron Smith and Lloyd Wright. There are also Am and Flow line-ups, plus other riders from countries all around the world including Colombia, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Latvia, Slovakia and Ukraine. Kink’s UK representative is Ben Basford.
