It’s been a long while since I’ve reviewed a DVD, normally it seems so painfully difficult to pick out the one thing about a release that makes it different from the rest but it’s not that hard to do here. Banned 3 is as raw and as BMX as it gets…

I don’t think you really even have to be that good a rider if you start your section with clips your mates filmed of you getting laid. And it probably goes without saying that if you’ve got enough weed in your possession to spell out your name in capital letters then  riding probably isn’t your first priority. But back it up these guys do. Colt Fake is the worthy opener and although probably only two thirds of his shit is pulled, it;s fairly obvious from the get go that this DVD isn’t about pulling everything, the latest tricks or even camera equipment. The riding is original and fresh, some of the drops and stair set’s these guys ride are massive, yeah there is some riding that’s below par but you’ve got to include everyone in a scene video right? At least it gives your clapping hands a rest…

The riding is amazing in places and creative in all, but that’s not the reason that this is such an amazing DVD. Like all scene videos, it captures something that defies any budget. This video perfectly captures the lifestyles of the guys involved. Young, dumb and full o’ cum. Mark Mulville is probably the only odd one out here, but only because he doesn’t cut himself open or fight a nun…

This is a video no parent would be happy letting their beloved child watch, nor would it pass any classification to go on sale. But that’s the point, this rebellious, fuck you, we don’t give a shit, let’s get fucked up and shag loads of birds with our mates attitude is something that seems to have been lost. But, I’m happy to say it’s still alive and well. At least in Florida…

Banned 3 is the first I’ve seen of these nutters but I can’t wait to see some more, that’s providing they live long enough to make another video. Verdict? You have to buy this.
