Late last year we posted up this Ride UK Classic. It’s the Matt Wakefield interview by George Marshall, and it was such a treat. If you missed it, give it a look, if not simply hit the link to read it again.

Today however we’re flashing back to a couple of Wakey’s edits via The Make. First up is his Cut the Crap section and further down we have the older, Whats What section. Both you’ll agree are really entertaining showcasing Wakey’s unique personality, strong Nottingham accent and unique riding style which was very much ahead of its time when these two videos came out in 2007 and 2006 on DVD. These two sections still hold their weight today and represent an earlier form of how people like Garrett Reeves et al are riding today.

I’ve personally not seen Wakey for a few years now, but recently heard he’s settled down in Bicester, Oxfordshire and is more into road cycling nowadays which we can only imagine he’s killing it at too!
