Best Edits of 2015: ROUND 2 – The UK

After looking through some of 2015’s biggest edits, we noticed many were from overseas, so we thought we should pick out the best releases from our homegrown talent too. Here are the top nine, hold tight for more soon…

Jordan Aleppo and Anthony Watkinson put down some great street riding in London for 8 days in April. We were blessed with perfect weather the whole time and found some good setups. I was happy to be on hand to film this one for Stay Strong.

This is just awesome and shows that Phelan really gets it – he knows how to have fun on his bike. Jason filmed this with Cal Earnshaw as a way of saying goodbye to long-time sponsor wethepeople and we thought it was very well done indeed.

Vans‘ Pete Sawyer came through with this awesome edit thanks to Mike King. Filmed around Essex, this is full of inventive street riding, interesting spots and some of the best 360 footplants you’ll ever see.

When this Kriss Kyle edit came out, I foolishly thought it would be him riding concrete bowls like most people – doing table airs and carving cradles, stuff like that. Of course it was wildly different, featuring technical lines and combos that still don’t make sense. This is transition riding gone mad.

Speaking of transitions… One of the finest riders out there for tackling bowls and trails is Lima. This Fox edit shows Lima killing it around England, Belgium and Spain, bagging his signature tricks and some wild lines. Expertly put together by Will Evans, this was a major highlight of the year for me.

BMX is all about characters. If you want a wild one, look no further… MJ is a loose goose and we were all stoked to see him put on the Verde team this year. Jeeezzz!

One of our Ride UK Exclusives from the beginning of the year, this edit went along with Joe Embrey’s print interview. A real rider’s rider, Joe has fans all over the UK for good reason. He had a great year, bagging sponsorship from FBM. I took care of this video and was stoked to be able to use a song by one of Joe’s friends, Jay from Hardcore Hobbies.

Roey and Robbo riding street, filmed by Rich Forne, say no more! An absolute banger from Mutiny.

A more recent one. Angus Gough is one of the UK’s best young riders and thankfully is being noticed more and more on a global stage. This rad edit by Luke Rance for Custom Riders is all about travel and even shows the locations where they filmed.
