Just clocked this handy little device doing the rounds. Patchnride is pretty simple, get a flat pop the gadget into the hole and press it down. It fires out some kind of glue/patch which repairs the tube. Inflate the tyre and bobs your uncle.
Or is he? I can see this working well on road bikes but what about BMX?
It could be a good option to get you home, but it’s kind of limited in use. What if you get a slowy? no sign of a hole in the tyre etc. You’re kinda waiting for that moment you get a shard of glass or a tungsten tip screw in your tyre, which on the whole don’t account for many flats.
On snake bites and major blowouts this isn’t going to work of course. I love the idea as a quick fix though, it’s novel.
