This is pretty cool! I spotted a story on my news feed about a Ghanaian entrepreneur who has been using Bamboo as a material to build bikes with. It kinda reminded me of when Fathead built a Bamboo BMX up and took it for a session. Considering bamboo is a plant, it’s very surprising how strong and durable this material is. It begs the question, what other materials could we use to build bikes out of?

Also that time I was into weight saving and made my bmx entirely out of cardboard.

So yeah, basically I think it’s great what Bernice Dapaah is doing over in Ghana, “changing the face of transport in Ghana by making bikes out of bamboo” is going to be a tricky task, but she’s doing some cracking work. The spray jobs look pretty RAD too!
