A while back we posted up the incredible feature by Walter Pieringer called Escape from Mumbai. In it, you hear the many encounters Walter and the riders had with security guards, police, traffic, heat and the crowds of people that inhabit one of the most densely populated cities in the world.
This edit is from a group of riders actually based in Mumbai, they have to deal with those conditions to ride in every time they walk out the door. These guys have no skateparks, (not even crappy council attempts) no BMX shops to pick up supplies or help and almost no other scene to bounce off of.
It’s a really interesting watch and backs up Walter’s story about how difficult it is to ride there. Nice to know it wasn’t just a bunch of tourists making a meal of things. The thing I like most from this is the way they all talk about riding, it pretty much sums up what we all feel. Check it: The Last Ride.
