I’d seen this kid Ham Bamber all over Facebook doing roof drops with Skyway mags. He reminds me of Sean Burns and Lou Rajsich or something. He’s got that Bone Deth Banned thing going on and it’s dope because I guess him and the Jims Dead Crew are super young.
They just released their second trailer and it’s entertaining to say the least. They’re doing stuff different to most kids their age and it’s refreshing. Ham Bamber filled in some gaps for us on behalf of the crew and the answers are as colourful as they are.
Ham Bamber is that your real name?
Nah, my real name is Hamish Bamber, my parents gave me that name for a laugh after they had just watched Braveheart but I get called Ham. I think it is because when I was younger I got abused by a ham sandwich.

Yeah I could see how that would happen!! So I’ve seen you on Facebook quite a bit, your bike looks great we should do a Nice Set Up feature… What’s your favourite BMX company?
Don’t really have a favourite company I ride a Subrosa frame because I like the old school look but FBM, Banned and Bone Deth are the ones which seem like true BMX to me.
How many Skyway mags have you snapped?
I thought I would get asked this haha. Surprisingly none, even with the amount of drops I have done on them they have held together pretty well apart from the bearings popping out and cross threading but that happens to most wheels.
You’re behind the ‘Jims Dead’ trailer and subsequent video out soon, any idea when?
Soon as this shite UK weather gets better we can get more street clips because we don’t want it to be a skate park only DVD, there seems to be too many of them and they get boring after a while. We are two thirds through so as soon as the weather gets better so we can travel and ride more pretty much.
