Yesterday we were treated to this dope edit from Eclat. Part 1 of their Natives series featuring Shane Weston. Shane talks all about his life in and out of BMX. Particularly his love affair with the freecoaster and what inspired him to use one. Ian Schwartz is always high on any freecoaster users list of inspirations. He certainly thrust the style of riding back in to the mainstream. If anything it’s getting more popular with brands bringing out better hubs and the likes of Bruno Hoffman, Alex Kennedy and Shane himself pushing the art form to whole new dimensions.

Here’s a selection of Ian Schwartz sections from over the years. Particularly his Props Bio from issue 51. When you watch them all back to back it’s easy to see why the trend was set. The System section with Chad Shackelford is one of my all time favourites.
