Victoria Park is a few years old now and is well established as one of London’s most impressive skateparks. With its cradle, vert deep end and large size, it’s no wonder it sees a lot of visitors.
There’s a pretty fun little street section with a skinny down ledge, all kinds of flat ledges, banks and rollers and a whippy little pool quarter.
In the bowl, transitions are nice and there are a few really good lines but many people find the expanse of flat bottom frustrating. Sometimes it’s best to choose one area of the massive bowl and session it in isolation, such as the 11ft vert section.
Watching someone like Danny Stanzl (above) or Greg Illingworth ride this place is a real treat. Speed is key!
