Morgan Wade and Cory Berglar had a modern day showdown which started from a bunch of Instagram banter. The internet took note and the hype became real.

These two passed jokes back and forth with one another roasting each other like two gladiators about to enter a boxing ring. The internet comment section was amusing on both sides of their handles the last three weeks.

Morgan Wade resides in Rural East Texas and took Cory Berglar of New Jersey up on his offer on a game of BIKE in the great state of Texas… Which is much like the game of horse in basketball only the letters they spelled out were T-WHIP instead. Which obviously stands for ‘tailwhip’ in BMX jargon.

Morgan is a highly regarded athlete in BMX as he is often described as someone similar to the heroic Mat Hoffman. Mat is the legendary inventor of the sport of BMX and was the first to land just about every trick you can think of.

Morgan is one of the first few guys brave enough to fly 20 feet out of a mega ramp and only his predecessor Mat Hoffman has been able to do it in the historic past with the help of a motorcycle and a ski rope.

Why did Cory Berglar think he stood a chance against Morgan Wade? Morgan might say “he doesn’t know..“ but to be honest both of these guys put up a good fight and the large crowd deep in the piney woods of East Texas was grateful that the rain held off for the free public show at the newly built Dodson Action Sports Complex in Longview, Texas.

Side note* Matty Cranmer says he wants to challenge Ryan Nyquist in a “Legends league” game of BIKE next. Let’s spread the word, and hope Nyquist replies although he may be too busy preparing for the Olympics…
