Joe Bailey's 2014 Photo Highlights
This year like most others has been a roller coaster, and looking back in the height of winter and after all of the Christmas festivities (spending silly money on tat for people to throw out a few months later) I’m left looking at my bank account thinking “is this lifestyle really sustainable?”. Well, after looking back at the amount I have done this year, the places I have travelled, the people I have met and most importantly the people I have shared those experiences with, the answer is YES!
I’ve never been motivated by money or by consuming the latest greatest fads but what keeps me going is the memories that I made and those that I hope to make, because these are in actual fact, when all is said and done, the only things we have to hold on to.
I’ve been on a fair few trips this year, Malaga in January, The Train Trip soon after that, back for a few days and then off to Bilbao, Ride To Glory, Barcelona and not to mention all over the UK and each trip holds so many memories to me. This is the awesome thing about photography, one glimpse of a photograph can conjure up countless emotions, most of which you can’t describe to anyone else, but only to yourself and the friends that were there to share it with you.
Anyway, Here’s a bunch of photos that I’ve shot over the year, some obviously aren’t the most photographically awesome but they either mean a lot or I think they’re funny, this is a massive shortlist from what I have and I’ve tried to add photos that haven’t seen the light of day or very little light…
Let’s hope that 2015 is as good as last year was!
