Young Dan’s got balls, that’s for sure. I’ve been riding for years and still I couldn’t manage half the things he’s mastered in a mere 2 years.. He’s a cheeky little shit, true, but he makes up for it with a level of bike control that is far beyond his years and a long list of tricks. Dan’s a good lad.

Nah, thanks

Dan, it’s been a while since we shot the content for this article. Where have you been and what have you been getting up to?

“Ugh, not too much. It’s been boring over winter, so only been going down to my local park in Shoreham. I’m in school and that takes up a good bit of my time. Besides that I usually play some XBOX and go on the odd trip to London to buy stuff.”

Tell us a little about your riding. How’d you get started and who do you usually roll with?

“I rode a scooter when I was smaller and made the jump to BMX a couple of years ago, once it felt right. I’d go to the local park with my mate, Joey and Kev. I always loved doing flips and the rate at which I took to BMX and learnt new tricks really shocked a lot of the older riders at the park, haha. I’d just go out and learn something new every day and the local riders would call me Mini CK…”

I could see good things happening with your riding if you put in work on the streets. Now that winter has come to pass, will you be getting out and getting your grind on more?

“Yeah, definitely. I’m always looking to get out and ride as much as possible when the weathers good. There is always something new to learn or just chilling with mates at spots about town.”

So, aside from riding, what else interests you? You’re into music, right? Tell us a bit about that.

“Haha, yeah, I’m hyped on music. I’m into writing lyrics and rapping over grime and hiphop instrumentals. I guess it helps me express what is going on in my life and I really dig the culture.”

What do you have in mind for spring and summer? Any big plans or goals with riding? Maybe get out and about with the Brighton crew and working on a video, perhaps?

“I definitely want to keep on the riding hype. Get out and hit new places and spots and push my progression as much as possible.”

Any shout-outs?

“Shout-out to everyone. I wouldn’t want to forget anybody…”
