WWWIN: A Stereo Electro

It has been a few months since we tested the Stereo Electro [Issue 144], and since then a few people have taken quite a shine to it. It’s been passed around as the spare bike to various riders, all of whom wanted to either keep it or take parts off it. Luckily they did neither and we still have the full complete, ready to roll.

After being ridden to the shops, to the pub, to the skatepark and even to a couple of photo shoots, it will be sad to finally see it go. The actual last person to ride the Electro was Steve Bancroft’s, Dad. He’s 67, and Banners was trying to teach him how to bunny hop.

‘He tried and he tried, but all he kept doing was pulling the front wheel off the ground and then putting his feet down. So I ditched the American bunny hop technique and tried to teach him a different approach – the one where you pick up both wheels at the same time – and he got it straight away!! Im not sure who the oldest person in the world to learn bunny hops is, but I reckon its my Dad’.
