We got to Munich late last night and the first job was to hit up the pretzel joint and grab a beer. A quick nights kip in a hotel with an internet connection 1994 would be disgusted at and we were at the venue. The olympic park is huge and I’m surprised that this thing was built in the 60’s because it looks way modern. High quality German engineering comes in to play again here. Just facing the venue is the home of BMW, more quality German engineering all round as the place looks like something from Star Wars. I’ll be hitting the museum for sure this weekend. Below are the photo’s we grabbed from day 1. Enjoy, we’ll have more tomorrow along with a dope park edit so stick around for that.
Today was a wash out. We were on the shuttle bus and saw Daniel Dhers stranded in the rain. Of course I knocked on the window and gave him a gentlemanly thumbs up. He replied with the universal sign for “fuck you”.
Kriss Kyle is in the house. His bike looks dope but I’m not 100% on those tyres yet!!
Course overview. No street at the games but the park looks good. Yeah thats a beer keg on there, 360 on tap bitte.
Watched some dorks tightrope walking and wished I had the confidence to go push them off. Next best thing was a trick of the camera, it’ll do for now.
MTB course looks mental, looking forward to seeing these lot this weekend.
Germans are great at engineering, but their space program is a joke.

Johnny caught me “double strapped” up, who’s the dork now?
Chase Hawk checking out Harry Main’s bike, too short, too light and no pegs.
Creasey in the house chewing my bloody ear off all day, whats he like.
Not sure who invented this sport. Probably a real drunk guy sat in a Bavarian tavern, who after many flagons of German bitte started showing off to his mate using the stool he was sat on. Either way, a new way of life was born. Gutted.
Grilling Wilke about KRANK FLIPPE while on the bus.
Markus Wilke wondering how many KRANK FLIPPE he could do over this.
Feel sorry for the guy who has to dig out all the skateboards from the pond this weekend.
