Waddy has clearly had a busy year, as well as running Ride On & the group, hosting the Ride-On contest and being involved in the British BMX Hall of Fame, he’s also been busy filming for his yearly round up video. Hear what he had to say below.
“It’s been a hell of a year. Ive taken a “Ride Everything” approach to bmx as Ive got older and so the edit features clips of me riding park, dirt, flat, and racing in the British Cycling National series.
If someone had told when I was in my 20s that Id still be riding, progressing and having fun on a bmx in my 50s Id probably have been sceptical. But it seems that the older riding scene worldwide is constantly re-defining what an older rider is capable of and the age ceiling for bmx seems to be getting higher and higher. Im constantly stoked to see how far the older scene is still pushing it and it’s so rad to see so many guys in their 50s still out there killing it. Long may it continue!”
