First out of the box was this “TRAPEZ” front hub. Nice slick design which would work great with pegs. Low flange and a female axle means you’re rolling longer. Inside there’s high quality sealed cartridge bearings and the whole unit is a tidy 335g.

If you’re hunt for a pair of hubs then this is the rear version of the “TRAPEZ” exactly the same build and material quality here as the front. But this is equipped with a hollow female axle and 9T one piece driver. It has the “SDS” switch system so you can run either LHD or RHD without a hitch.

Saltplus do a front and top load stem called “DELTA” both are built to a real good quality as we’ve come to expect now from these guys. The front load has a 50mm reach and is internally machined to save weight without compromising strength. Same with the top load, however with this puppy however you’re looking at higher bars.

Next out of the box was a huge range of Salt tyres. They pretty much have every angle covered here and prices start at £19.99 we caught up with their product designer Richard Shaw to talk more on these;
Salt has always had a strong offering of tires, as this is such a distinctive part of the bike we pay an incredible amount of attention to every chamfer and sink that makes up the tire design. We have two lines of tires, those based on the STRIKE pattern, and the PITCH series. We tried to offer riders the options for different tire combinations, with different sizes and tread types, so if you want the same pattern front and rear you can have it, or something rougher up front, the choice is there.
NEW TIRES
Fitting into the PITCH series of tires, we now have the SLICK tread pattern available. This tire uses an incredibly slick tread pattern inspired by the tires used on super bikes. Without any knurling the tire looks incredibly clean and gum like, but at the same time incredibly fast rolling but grippy on the shoulder for better traction in the corners. The two tire sizes of 2.35” and 2.2” offer riders that front and rear same tread pattern they are looking for.
The second tire introduction is the STROBE, with a tread pattern based on the STRIKE and CONTOUR but simplified for a smoother slicker look. The central section stays simple with very few cuts for maximum rolling speed, on the shoulder a heavier pattern provides more grip when leaning into a turn. It will be available in 2.25” and with a super bike inspired red stripe side wall as a special colour option, along with white, blue and black sidewall alternatives.
