Day 4 started off good with Daniel Tunte riding down a rather large amount of steps… Perhaps with not quite the same style ‘n finesse as North East street legend Cookie: http://vimeo.com/2053585 but it still counts…and that’s a lot of stairs in one go.

The weather was proving to be little bitch though and our exhibition skatepark challenge dreams were soon dashed. We hid out of the rain and took far to long to realise we could just go to 5 Bridges and have a deece sesh. Matty Lambert quoted that this was his dream spot… but then a charver bird tried to steal Paley’s bike, luckily Dyno was on hand to get it back. So much for teaching a girl to bunnyhop…

Simone Barraco absolutely killed again with a toothy to bars and another top secret manoeuvre. Snoop dog styling with all the banger tricks. Beast. Kid is gonna be unreal in 2013.

Dan Paley was shredding until he took a big spanker to the wrist on an ice to 3 gone wrong. Hopefully he’s not out of the game yet but it’s hard to tell just yet.

The king of Tenerife, Rubio Rodriguez, is still not with us – some massive selfish cloud of ash has clogged up the UK airspace so he’s getting a taxi from Heathrow to Newcastle. I heard Mutiny Bikes have drawn the short straw and are picking up the tab on that bill? Dayummm!

We tried to see what the nightlife was saying but it was a bit of a letdown. This has literally never happened in Newcastle before. I hate to say it but it must be the lack of students…bloody spongers – can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em!

Hopefully Day 5 should be better, we’re not sure what the exact plans are yet, it could go north or it go south. We’ll see. Cheers.
