Today is a very sad day for BMX. Dirt master, Dane Searls has past away. At the weekend Dane went into a coma due to an accident at a nightclub. Even though he was fighting to survive, Dane unfortunately didn’t make it through. Dane is known for pushing the limits in Dirt riding, creating and jumping some of the biggest jumps in the world (See videos below). Ride UK remember Dane as the guy who played by his own rules, whether that was ‘challenging’ the judges at Empire of Dirt, to ‘test’ flipping a set at a 40ft set of doubles first go. We want you to remember him too as he was an inspiration to many riders throughout the world. All our thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans. Rest in peace.
