This is a pretty cool story about what happened to Nathaniel Evans‘ bike, car and most of his possessions one day while out with his mate. It’s a genuinely nice story about how good the BMX community (and your mates) can be at times of need. Shit happens and we as riders and decent human beings understand that it’s crap having all of you stuff jacked, especially your bike. Check this out…
“A few months ago my car got nicked with my bike in it, I got the car back but no bike, or camera, or wallet, or anything. After a few days of nothing one of my mates put a post out for cheap parts to build me a bike back as I’m a uni student and therefore skint. Then people started popping up with bits and bobs lying about that they were willing to donate and after a week, I had my £0 bike. Tempered frame, Shadow bars, Odyssey seat, and Odyssey sprocket were all given to me for nothing by Raymond Inskipp (on Odyssey Flow), Proper rear wheel, salt forks, cranks, and all the necessities (bearings etc) were donated by my old friend Nathan Neeve, and varies other bits (Fitbikeco toploader, Odyssey P-lyte and Fit Faf etc) were donated by a few others or found around my own garage. Even though this bike isn’t fresh off the shelf with the latest gizmos, it’s more dialled than anything I have ever got my hands and feet on. Just goes to show how much the BMX community can band together in one individuals hour of need.”
“Therefore I feel like this bike has earned it’s way into the setup section. Speech over hahaha!”
We believe that you deserved this feature, somehow we missed the inbox you sent us AGES ago but well done to everyone who chipped in and we’re glad you’re back riding again Nathaniel! -F
