FRIDAY RANDOMS: 7 Houses EVERY BMXer wants to live in!

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these articles after having a bit of bad family news, but I’m back on it and raring to go! I got the idea for this one after seeing a photo which was originally posted by Maverick Industries regarding a 3 bedroom house with a bit of a difference… Inside this rather spacious property was a pretty decent sized indoor bowl setup and it got me thinking, which other RAD PADS are out there?
After a bit of research I managed to come across a bunch of sick places to live. Imagine it’s a rainy day and you’ve got nowhere to ride, simply walk into the next room with your bike and shred! Ideal.

#1 – House with an indoor bowl.

So here’s the property I was talking about, I scoured Rightmove and found a few more images of this ‘dream house’… Apart from the bowl it’s actually a really nice house, I wonder if the mrs and kids would relocate?

#2 – Tight, but fun!

This one has popped up a few times on the old t’interweb and I’m not 100% sure on the location but Pierre-André Senizergues and designer, Gil Le Bon Delapointe built this skate-park home in collaboration with Etnies. Yeah, it’s pretty tight but looks like it’d be a right laugh to ride on a BMX. Obviously it’s been built to suit skaters and I’d definitely skate the shit outta this place too! So much fun.

#3 – Schuster Skate House.

One day, a skater named Philipp Schuster decided to bring a whole load of building materials and completely remodel his house so it was skateable. He and his friends chipped in and the result is insane!  Red Bull even came and documented the whole thing, hit play above and get inspired!

#4 – RAD Dad.

I guess this article has been pretty Skateboarding-heavy, but I haven’t really found any BMXers who have done the same thing in their house, I guess the whole size issue comes into play when you’ve only got a small space to play with. This one is a favourite of mine though, in freezing conditions one RAD skater dad decided that he’d build a skatepark in the living room of his house for his son who was itching to skate then they proceeded to shred the place. That’s a great parent right there!

#5 – This Indoor Pool Is The Dream!

My favourite of the lot so far… A few skaters decided to build a full-size pool inside their house the indoor paradise was actually featured on a few old skate vids featuring Lance Mountain and Neil Blender in Powell Peraltas ‘Ban This!’

#6 – Small Basement Bowl.

A young couple had a dream of their perfect house and decided that the basement of the property could be put to better use. They used an architectural design company by the name of Level Architects who completely remodelled the basement and created a sick little bowl with a built-in wallride.

#7 – Livingroom Skatebowl.

Here’s another sweet, yet tight as hell bowl a bunch of inline skaters named Syeahskate from Athens, Greece have made. I seriously doubt you’d be able to hit this thing on a BMX and live to tell the tale, but the video does make for some pretty interesting viewing and could give you some handy tips for building your own indoor bowl creation I guess!
