Fresh Out The Box: Parts Issue 165

Vocal
Valentine cranks
These new cranks from Vocal are dope. We’re talking ankle friendly here! Everyone has had the cranks vs ankle battle and it’s not pretty. Vocal have produced the Valentine cranks to show your ankle some love again. They’re investment casted, with rounded low profile bosses, with a slim design 4130 arms and are available in RHD and LHD, with 25t and 23t fixings. They have a 48t spline and come with all the fitting and removal tools also. Available in Matt Black, Matt White and Chrome.
RRP: £99.99

S&M
Perfect 10 bars
Perfect 10’s are the undisputed king of the big bar trend and are now available in Trans Gold, and how good do these look? Massive 10” rise and 30” wide, constructed in the USA from American grade 4130 CrMo with an 11 degree back and 1.5 degree up sweep, weighing in at 2.73lbs. S&M have been making bars since 1986, so you can’t argue with the Perfect 10’s. Also available in Chrome, Trans Red, Trans Green, Trans Blue, Trans Black and normal Black.
RRP: £64.99

T1
Ruben Bars
There’s going to be a slight bias here, as I’m currently running these bars. I put them on a few weeks back after getting a whole new set up. Before these I had Slam XLT’s which are equally as good. They feel awesome, and come in at 8.5” high, 28.5” wide and I’ve not cut mine down! 13 degree back and 3 degree upsweep, and all constructed from heat treated multi butted 4130 chromoly and weigh in at 1.7lbs. Available in Black, Navy and Clear. Psyched on these.
RRP: £59.99

Odyssey
Aerospace rim
These puppies look tech.
The Aerospace rims from Odyssey are constructed from 6061 T6 aluminium and
have a welded joint. They’re 34mm wide,
23mm tall and have a 380 ERD. The idea behind the aero extrusion is to make them, strong, light and reasonably priced. Because it’s Odyssey they’ve clearly nailed it first go, because these are so sick. You can comfortably run them on either the front or back, and if you’re running brakes then no worries, these cater for them easily.
RRP: £79.99

Stolen
Thermalite pedals
Stolen have come through with these great value Thermalite pedals. Good solid construction, lightweight and super grippy, thanks to the metal pins. Large surface area too for a good comfy ride. Crmo axles for added strength and super slick bearings. Available in Black, Red, Green, Blue, White and Orange.
RRP: £14.99

Salt Plus
Manta sprocket 25t
You’ve no doubt seen the Salt products grace WeThePeople’s complete bike range. So with this in mind they’ve decided to bring out their produce for after market sales too. And rightly so, Salt stuff is amazing value whilst being great quality. Here we have the Manta sprocket, fully cnc’d from 6061 T6 alloy, great 4 spoke design which looks like a sprocket of a much higher value! Available in Black, Polished, Blue and Purple.
RRP: £29.99

BSD
Giraffic bars
Reed Stark’s all new signature bars from BSD are called the Giraffic bars, for the simple reason that they’re huge! They come in at a 9” rise, with 13 degree back and 1 degree up sweep. 29.5” wide and are constructed from multi butted heat treated 4130. They also weigh in at just 1.66lbs, which is great considering how big they are. They come in Gloss Black, ED Black and Chrome. All bases covered for your average street head.
RRP: £57.99

Fit Bike Co
Barstool fat seat
Good to see that seats with a bit of meat on them are still doing the rounds. Here’s Fit’s new version. This is called the Barstool, although it’s much comfier. It’s a mid sized pivotal set up, with durable textured rubber covering. It sort of reminds me of a futuristic Haemorrhoid, which is nice. Plastic bumpers under the nose and tail section for added durability. This thing looks like it was built to take a hit or two. It’ll definitely last.
RRP: £35.99

Demolition
Machete tyre
These look so good. Dennis Enarson and Rob Wise both designed and ride these tyres so you know they’re going to be quality. The first thing we noticed were how light they are! They weigh in at just 22.8 oz, and can go right up to 110 psi. They’re a good all round tyre, with nice deep set tread for pretty much any terrain. Ours came through in the Tan wall version, but they’re also available in Black wall too. Amazing price too, are we now seeing the price of our tyres fall again? I hope so.
RRP: £19.99

Eclat
Boxer stem
We were all really into this at the office. The all new Eclat Boxer stem. Fully machined from 6061 T6 alloy, off set clamping system for maximum bar grip. 48mm length and really lightweight. In fact we were surprised with how light this thing actually is, considering it looks pretty much indestructible. Eclat know what they’re doing when it comes to product design though, they’ve strengthened key stress area’s while machining out area’s with little or no stress points to maximise the lightweight to strength ratio. Comes with 6mm hollow bolts too.
RRP: £54.99

Odyssey
MPegs
Good honest peg work from Odyssey here with the MPegs. Full 4130 heat treated chromoly, with 3 anti roll pins for maximum life expectancy. These are a touch smaller in length and diameter to shave off some weight, they’re 4” by 1.3” and weigh in at 17.5oz for the pair. Available in either Chrome or Black.
RRP: £15.99
