In 1982, the famous movie E.T was released with arguably one of the most famous BMX scenes ever, featuring the legend Bob Haro. The chase scene ignited a BMX craze that influenced a generation and was the beginning of the first BMX boom.
If somehow you’ve not seen it, basically, a troubled child summons the courage to help a friendly alien escape Earth and return to his home-world, and he uses his BMX mates to help with the plan. Classic BMX style.
