The unique DUB BMX Jam / Monster Street Series is made by BMXers for BMXers, and is a celebration of all that is greatest about BMX. This isn’t just a normal jam – the route for each event is planned by a local legend with first-hand knowledge of the spots.
2012 kicked off in Liverpool, as riders visited four spots in the city – Tunnel Banks, The Flyover Bank to Sub, Everton Brow and the Costco/Dock Warehouses Rail. The series then moved on to some sick spots and heavy riding in Bristol, before finishing up in London, where heavy rain caused riders to stay all day at South Bank and compete in a hastily-organised cash for tricks jam on the rail.
The 2013 series went international, beginning in Barcelona the day after X Games finals with a crazy crew in town including Dan Lacey, Garrett Reynolds and Chad Kerley. Round 2 in Frankfurt had a route planned by Bruno Hoffman, while the third round rolled through the streets of Rotterdam. It was back to the UK for rounds four and five – Dan Paley took the win in front of a huge crowd in Glasgow, before the action finished in Liverpool.
2014 began in Cape Town, South Africa with a route planned by local legend Greg Illingworth, before returning to Barcelona with Fernando Gomarin Olaiz once again planning a route with a good selection of different setups, including rails, ledges, banks and stairs. The series then moved on to Berlin and Tokyo, before finishing in New York City.
