We cannot tell you how much fun road tripping with your mates is, the proof is in the pudding. If you haven’t been on or aren’t currently planning a trip (however far) then get on the Whats App group now and get it sorted.
BMX is much more than gym 3 times a week, midweek gates and racing at the weekend, there are limitless possibilities out there and guess what, they are tons of fun.
You don’t have to be the best, the fastest or even the most well known rider to get out there and experience it. Tracks, other riders and even different countries welcome us BMX’ers with open arms, as we are one big family… believe us, we just did it and we can’t wait to go again!
If you like the look of any of the tracks we visited, hit up the links below.
Day 1 – Trets
One of the best tracks we visited, amazing rhythm straights and some big jumps, the perfect track to both warm up on and test yourself on. And just around the corner from the infamous Peynier trails.
Day 2 – Pernes Les Fontaines
Voted the best track on the trip. Big doubles, a unique layout, classic rhythm with a ton of options and a downhill first straight.
Day 2 – Cavaillon
The home track of Sylvain Andre and we now know why he is so rad! Loooong straights – one with 15 rollers, unique jump set ups and amazing hospitality. To top that off, across the road is a full tarmac pump track, which is a world of fun.
Day 3 – Vitrolles
One of the more mellower tracks we visited, but still loads of fun. Chill, flowing straights with all kinds of options available. This track also has an Ibiza style roof terrace next to the gate… and a track operator who was the one of the most hospitable hosts we came across. He even gave us all Vitrolles BMX club treats and goodies!
Day 4 – Saint Maxime
Around the coast from St Tropez, this track is big and fast. With a first corner like a wall of a velodrome and some of the bigger jumps we experienced, this track still has a LOT for everyone. The perfect way to round of the trip.
