When the bike levels, it’s time to spin the bars. A general rule of thumb: if you’re right foot forward you throw with your right hand and if you’re left foot forward throw with your left, but do what feels comfortable. Use your knees to nip the seat to keep the bike level and then spin the bars.
You can practise spinning and catching the bars by jamming the back wheel of your bike against a wall, pulling up the bars and simply throwing the bars around. This way you’ll get used to the speed you’ll need to throw the bars and also the time you need to catch them.
