We were sent this new edit, showing a good crew riding the fine city of Glasgow… 4PEGS in Glasgow.
Good vibes and solid riding in this one. Glasgow might not be the most obvious destination for a BMX trip, but these guys rode some quality spots and had themselves a time. Recognise any spots from BSD videos…?
Check out some insights from the boys below.
4PEGS in Glasgow
Q&A with Kieran McQuinn
– Who is the 4PEGS crew and where are you from?
“4PEGS was started by Adam Hardy and Teague Pitrick out of Sheffield. Crew mainly consists of them, myself, Ryan Loudon and James Patrick. There’s some guest clips of David McKean, Spike Slade and Kelman Barrie in the video as they’re from Glasgow/Edinburgh.”
– Why did you choose Glasgow for a trip? How long were you there?
“Chose Glasgow as the spot because myself and Ryan are from Dumfries and have been down to Sheffield to ride but they had never been up here so made perfect sense to show them around.”
– How did you find spots? Did someone show you around?
“I know quite a lot of spots around Glasgow anyway but Spike showed us to some others that were out the way, he’s a KG local and sound AF.”
– What were your favourite spots on the trip?
“Think the favourite spots for the whole team were the Merchant City out ledge, Kingston Banks and for me it was the St George’s Rails. Finished every night off at KG of course, haha.”
“The lot from Sheffield were amazed at how much Buckfast is just lying around at every spot…”
– Were there any spots you want to go back to?
“Think everyone pretty much got what they wanted at each spot apart from Adam wanted a footplant pegs down St George’s rail and there was junkies camping in the bushes putting him off. One decided to cut down a bush for him, another one that only had one eye thought it’d be a good idea to stand right at the top of stairs thinking he was out the way of the camera. It all just got a bit too stressful so we had to leave it.”
– Did you have any trouble while you were there? From security or random people?
– How gnarly is the gnarly bowl?
“Gnarly bowl is as gnarly as you want it to be haha. There’s glass everywhere and it’s cobbles so if you deck it, you’re fucked haha. David and Ryan handled it with a few stunts easily.”
– Where are you going next?
“Think the next place is Liverpool for a week in a couple of months. None of us have rode there for more than a day so makes sense.”
