Metal Pegs is a crew out of East London who make pegs and ride whatever street set-ups take their fancy. Very much an underground effort, this is an honest group of people who do things for themselves because that’s how they like it.

Riding clips are interspersed with moments that start to provide a kind of social commentary. Winter street riding is captured well in this edit, with a simple approach to filming and video making, this is legit.

“Metal Pegs doesn’t have any clear background story: we’re a group of people who ride and make things using do-it-yourself approaches in and around East London, UK. Our video Winter of Discontent was recorded over the winter months of 2015/2016, and produced without any background resources or skills in video recording and editing. The music on the video is made by friends. We also make other cool stuff using do-it-yourself techniques, like clothing, pegs, and a few things to ride. Our video tries to invoke some images of the everyday lives of BMX riders in the city, cos we can’t compete with the kids and their oil slick sheen.”
