WHERE’S THE WATER? CREW: 2016 Mixtape

Every now and then, a UK crew mixtape comes out that absolutely nails it. When you’ve decent, varied riding, the right music, when it’s nicely put together and the vibe gets people outside of that crew stoked, you know it’s a good one.

This edit came through to our Facebook inbox and straight from the intro I knew it was one of those mixtapes. The riding is on point, the editing is class and fun, and the music is perfectly matched. Toby Lamborn has done a great job on this edit.

“All of us involved went hard on the filming, we spent a lot of time riding street and other skateparks around Essex and London. Eventually it turned out to be every single day we went out filming and the clips started stacking up.

We are all from Essex except for Ryan, he’s a northern friend who turned southern but still carries that thick accent. Like I said the clips were just stacking and stacking and we only used two cameras for the filming, Toby had his Canon and we used a little handy cam thing for the second angles.

As far as the name goes… Toby started acting like a smackhead and walking round the pub saying, “You got any water? Where’s the water!?” And we all found it hilarious! A few weeks after that Toby got the trailer done for our mixtape and drew up the Where’s The Water? logo as a joke and put it in the trailer and we all loved it, so we kept it and it kind of became out crew name, shortened it to the WTW crew, now all of us have a WTW tattoo!

Roughly 8 months of filming and Toby worked his magic in editing and put it all together. I need to say that 99 percent of the filming was done by Toby Lamborn and all the editing was done by him so he takes credit for all of that. He did a real amazing job and we are all extremely proud of it!

We plan to have a sort of jam in December just invite a load of riders, have prizes and shit, hopefully Nathan can get some shit together because he is sponsored by TLC bikes (shoutout to them) and we also plan on making another mixtape next summer but in Brighton so that should be good.”
