Matthias Dandois is one stylish character, both on and off his bike. He epitomises the Vans brand with not only his style of wearing their goods, but also his general outlook towards living life. The OFF THE WALL approach to his ridding and subsequent edits, for me, encapsulates what a Vans athlete should be, and this latest edition from the Vans US Open helps to highlight my point.

I’ve spent the summer of 2016 at all the same events as Matthias, watching him clean up at pretty much all of them, now being the 5 time World Flatland Champion. It’s also meant I’ve got to hang out with the guy a lot, which is a very good thing, because if Matthias is involved, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a good time. This all comes back to my original point that his outlook on life is spot on. He seems to really understand that he’s in a very unique time of his life and he’s firmly got the bull (or Dolphin) by the horns and plans on riding this wave for as long he can – Ride on dude.
