This was an amazing video to randomly stumble upon by chance, it’s a bit of an insight into what the BMX scene is like over in Cuba. I’ve not personally seen much riding-wise from over there so I was instantly intrigued to see what their culture is like and how they approach BMX as a sport. Such an interesting video talking about the scene, the struggle and everything inbetween. I’m sure you guys will enjoy this…
Havana Connection: A Journey Into Cuban Bmx from Dillon Hearns on Vimeo.
“Wet desolate roads, cars that are eras removed, and an ever so present government presence. Welcome to Havana, Cuba. A setting for everything but BMX. We aimed to change that. Armed with over 250 pounds worth of bmx parts, clothing, shoes, and more we were on our way into the heart of Cuba. Here was the ensuing result, enjoy.”
