OFF TOPIC slightly but I thought there was quite a nice back story to this one. You’ll read all of this on the video captions but basically, a skaters’ parents sadly passed away and to cope with the loss he decided to turn the house into a skatepark for his friends to come over and skate. Skating is a form of escapism for this guy and I can say I’ve seen a lot of the same with BMX.

There’s something about being on your bike, headphones in and focusing on your riding which helps you block everything else out. Pretty sure it’s the same with skating too. We all have our ways of dealing with a loss and this seems a brilliant way to me. Some have said that it’s disrespectful to do this to his parents’ house but I guess it’s his choice really innit? The owner has now opened his house up for anyone else that uses skateboarding as an escape. RAD!
