As BMX riders, one of the first things we probably all noticed about the pandemic was that we were constantly confined to local surroundings. It had been a while since we had been able to go on the road and, little by little, everyone was starting to get the itch… So we made a plan.
A week on the road, camping (to avoid the jokers hiking the Airbnb prices up), heading west towards Haverfordwest Skatepark. None of us had been to this park before and I’m sure the guys didn’t really know what to expect from it, plus no one had hit many of the slew of parks we had spotted along the way. A lot of unknown. Long story short, some of the parks were great, some good, some not so much, but all in all it was amazing to be able to get on the road and explore a little again.

We ended up meeting a day early at Dom’s local trails spot Fox and started with an amazing session at the trails, we didn’t leave until much later than we had planned. We ended up arriving at the first campsite late, woke up early the next morning, left as if we had never even been there and headed to the closest skatepark. The rest of the week was much the same, riding all day, arriving to the camp spot late, sorting some food anywhere we could and then squeezing the drive in between and repeat. There were plenty of stories to come from this trip but they’re best kept for real life retellings, but as for the riding, take a look at the video and make up your mind how the trip went.
