I saw photos of this place popping up on Instagram and was immediately interested. I saw the Four One Four logos, some interesting design aspects, heard it was on the South Coast and knew I had to check it out. The Base is a decent park for sure, the ramps are great, they’ve used available space heroically well, the building is very nice, they have a decent looking cafe, a small BMX and skate shop… It’s all good. Riding wise, it makes sense too. There are effectively four different areas of ramps to choose from, all linked together by various quarter pipes in a way that makes for some good lines if it’s not too busy. The other thing I would say is that for once, the lighting is top notch, so it’s really nice and bright – a quality that not many indoor parks can boast about.
