VANS: Illustrated Premiere Jam at House of Vans London

Saturday 4th June saw the worldwide launch of Vans Illustrated, the first feature length BMX film from Vans. The film directed by Justin Kosman has taken the BMX world by storm with its spectacular production value and an unbelievable roster featuring some of the very best BMX riders on the planet. Just look at this list of names – Kevin Peraza, Calvin Kosovich, Sean Sexton, Brian Kachinsky, Dakota Roche, Bruno Hoffmann, Ty Morrow, Dan Lacey, Pat Casey, Cory Nastazio, Tyler Fernengel, Dennis McCoy, Tim Hall, Gary Young, TJ Ellis, Mike Hucker Clark, the list goes on. To celebrate the occasion, Vans hosted a series of events at all their House of Vans locations across the world with bikes, beer, music, photography and video. A global celebration of BMX culture!

House of Vans London hosted an all day event to celebrate the video launch and in typical Vans style, they went all out. The jam was split into two sections, the first part being on the street section and the latter in the bowl. The set-up there can be tricky to ride, it’s pretty tight on a bike, but that just seemed to add to the fun. Paul Ryan put his pegs to use on everything possible on the street course, while Greg Illingworth carved the shit out of the bowl and finished off by riding on the roof! There was £500 cash divvied up – shout-out to Nathan Goring for roasting everything and taking the win. He bagged a Dan Lacey DLX frame, courtesy of Federal Bikes.
