Ghetto Park in Grimsby has somewhat slipped under the radar as a skatepark. The skatepark has in fact been open for over 6 years. We went over there to see what this lesser known skatepark had to offer.

Ghetto Park skatepark is, quite unusually, situated on a high street. Every other skatepark I’ve ever been to has been in an industrial estate, but Ghetto Park actually sits in an old Netto shop. Remnants of the shop floor can be spotted around the building.
The park has 3 areas, the first a fenced off toddler area, next a youngsters ‘training’ area and finally the main skatepark area. These lower skill and age level areas are great as they keep all of the young scooter riders away from the main skatepark. This avoids the inevitable crashes that happen at most parks where all skills and ages share the one space.
