RTG – Nike 6.0 Day 2

Still in Sunny Leeds. Windy as hell. Rode a bit further afield today. Wind is really hampering things though, how has the weather suddenly become so rubbish though? Did summer finish back in April or something?

Last night was really good though, BSD had been following us around all day so we followed them on a night out to see BSD owner Grant Smith playing a DJ set dressed up as a skeleton man. We don’t know why this happened but it did.

Jason dropped a massive tree-based stunt today and then we drove to Bradford to ride Madonna’s Nipples and some flat bars. The photographer was over the moon because he’d wanted to shoot a photo there for over 7 years but had never got round to going back before now… Who says dreams don’t come true in Bradford eh?

The plan now is to head North and clock some jazz along the way. Rubio will be landing in Newcastle on Tuesday and then the real trip will begin.

Keep following us on Twitter to see what we’re up to: @mattylambert @ Nike6 @nathanbeddows
and use the hashtag #RTG

Here’s some general van drive quotes:

Jason Phelan: “I hate the word smashing it, the only thing I’ve smashed is a glass. I also met up with a lady but didn’t get any action.”

Beddows to Tunte: “Do you fart into your pads?”

Achim (Nike 6.0 TM): “We’re on a mission, we are here to win, get up you lazy dogs!”

Matty Lambert: “I love talking about cameras on Facebook, please send me your detailed questions regarding which cameras to purchase, which lenses work best, what glide-cams to buy and how to edit footage in Final Cut Pro. I am available to answer questions 24/7.”

Matty Lambert: “I love Twooping.”

Simone Barraco: “Bonjourno!”

Dan Paley: This comment has been censored.

Ben Murphy: “I should be a clockwork robot seller ‘cos I love winding people up!”

Jason Phelan, gale force 10 overpegs at ‘that school’ in Leeds.

We wanted to get the 25 Stair Rail Challenge in Leeds ticked off but seriously it was so god damn windy. Here’s a pic of Tom Burns trying it a while back. It’s still not been pulled by anyone…

Dan Paley dropped one of the best lines of the trip so far on this flatbar set-up in Bradford. You’ll have to wait for the DVD for that one though. Kid is unreal…
