Ride to Glory

RTG – Nike 6.0 Day 1

Nike 6.0 spent their first day dodging the wind and not moving around much in Leeds. We hit up the main city centre spots and everyone is having a bash at ticking off the challenges. Simone Barraco is already proving himself to be the trip’s MVP by clocking the most footy, wearing sunglasses all day everyday and also eating 10 big macs. He’s not bad at crankarm grinds down legit rails too.

Dan Paley is proving himself to a beast too and is shutting spots down left right and centre, although it must be said, he does love the late morning sleep. Jason Phelan has seemed fairly relaxed so far, with the fire, beer, mayhem even being kept to a minimum. It looks like he is playing the strategist though with big plans later in the week. I guess he is the ultimate RTG veteran though with him being the only rider to have ridden in all four RTGs… with that much time under his belt you’d think he would be thinking about ink..? Daniel Tunte is a good lad and tech wizard but is killing everyone with his general odour… #PADREEK

Our crew is still light though, as we are waiting for the King of Tenerife, Rubio Rodriguez, to arrive in Newcastle on Tuesday. When the King arrives and takes his seat upon his throne all hell should unleash… you’ll see. In some ways it’s also kinda good not having Prince Harry and his court jester Coleborn as it’s really halved the time spent signing stuff and giving out stickers.

The LS6 crew, despite claiming to be too cool for school, is rolling around with us and the antics of Ben Murphy have kept everyone in stitches. We also kept bumping into BSD too, I think they have been following us by checking the geotag info on our Tweets.

Twitter has been mental popping-off though and has no doubt been annoying a few heads who aren’t down for the fun. Maybe… we don’t wanna give them any false hopes!
