It was the last day of the trip and for Vince, it started off by waking on a ramp in Hastings, he had spent the night sleeping outside gaining us a few extra points. We still had loads of challenges to do so we got straight to work. David Grant started it off with a spot of clothes swapping with Jane from The Source . However the big points challenges were really what we were after – Alex jumped Jane’s car, Dan pulled a blindfolded hop whip and David blazed down a 25 stair rail first go.
Although pretty much every team member could do a multitude of rail tricks, we couldn’t find a decent over 8 stair rail to do the challenges on. Rain and getting kicked off spots earlier in the week had wrecked our plans and now in Hastings we were faced with a new problem. We wanted to ride the rails at Hillcrest school, but found out they had all been knocked down. So that was it, there wasn’t really much more we could do…
