Day 3
Monday saw WTP heading a little easterly after a brief stop at Hotwheels to scrounge bike parts out of the bins – only joking, Hotwheels is totally totally dialed!
After a 5 min rail session round the corner we got busted however NJ jumped straight in with the hug a security challenge and gained WTP a bunch of points.
On the way to Weymouth banks we picked names out of a hat to see who would be doing what on the random challenges. Apparently Ive got to drop in on a quarter wearing inlines – hmmm not likely lads!
Jason got all upside down n shit on them banks however the rain came into the equation before any other stuff could go down, so we headed over to the Ridge Cave aka The Trick Factory to meet the legend Rob Ridge and have a session.
This is a place Ive personally wanted to go to for years and boy did it sure live up to expectations and more! Rob’s just celebrated 10 years of the place being open and just by looking around the place you can see the amount of graft and effort that has gone into its upkeep. Here is a guy who is dedicated to BMX and a true innovator in his own right.
The photographer got so stoked on all this he may of even got a useable photo! dont hold your breath though, old tricks die hard…
The rain continues to fall and Ashley Charles still continues to stare into the blank canvas of young love… Roll on day 4 to get the last 25% of the challenges done. WTP firing on all cylinders.
