I took some photos with Ben Green when I got through to the bootcamp stage of the Nike Media Apprentice competition in 2009. This barspin photo was the first shot we did that day.

Rampworx in Liverpool has this big quarter with a smaller ramp set into it for transfers. We thought it would be cool to shoot a turndown fakie on the smaller ramp from this viewpoint, making it look pretty interesting with a fisheye lens. It’s always cool to shoot with Ben because he’s also a photographer, so he’ll have some great ideas for photos too. This photo was definitely a rider-photographer collaboration.

Another shot I submitted for the Media Apprentice final. I was stoked on this one because it doesn’t look like it was taken in Liverpool, looks more like Barca! I had to stand in the road to shoot this. Dodging buses is fun.
