So where was I..? Well we missioned it round Scotland a bit more, still not really with a lot of power or internet in the massive rock-star bus (I would like to mention it’s the same bus that the Happy Mondays use). Arrgh! Oh my god cramming so much of what happened into a tiny web update is ‘Twisting My Melon Man!’ – Maybe I need to ‘Step On’ a bit more? Oh boy that is rubbish but then so is having to share one dongle (that only works when the bus is still – i.e. not running AND no electricty) between 8 people equally sucks donkey d*ck.
Whizzed round Aberdeen, Edinburgh and then blasted down to london (literally we went out one night in Edinburgh and then woke up the next day in London – so disorientating but amazing at the same time).
We cant thank enough everyone who we met and showed us round and gave us running water to wash with. So many miles covered and so much diesel spewed out into the world’s precious ozone layer… crazy really when you think about it.
Ticking off challenges left right and centre legitimately wasn’t too hard, the crew just put their minds to it and got a bunch of stuff done (I was there the whole time saying “Gee I think you boys need to step it up a bit otherwise you’re gonna come last” and other such encouraging suggestions).
The big points challenges are what you need to concentrate on though above all else. Ollie Evans now has ‘RTG’ on his leg for the rest of life. I hope his mum is proud of him…
