The Epic Journey
 
Team Lotek’s long drive from the south coast up to Leeds on the first day of Ride to Glory was pretty interesting. With a rusty old minibus from (wrong) Choice Vehicle Rentals, what could possibly go wrong? Oh yeah, the engine could absolutely shit itself on the M1. It was sounding a little bit dodgy anyway, when suddenly the level of illness stepped up a notch and our engine ejected various gears and other parts onto the road. This halted our progress a bit. By like, 5 hours. We had to back track a long way on a recovery truck to Gatwick and get another van before we could have another go at starting this roadtrip. I’m glad to say that we made it in the end. Hopefully now we’ve had enough bad luck to last us a few days eh?
