Gary chose to hit one of his staple hometown spots – Home Ave ditch in San Diego – for this wild move. As he explains, it had been in his mind for a while and when wrapping up filming for Illustrated, it felt like the right time to get it done.

I was jumping up and down when I saw this move in the full video. Back in 2012, I shot the photo below of Gary doing the pocket wallride and was fully stoked. I didn’t even imagine that one day he would go 180 out of it.
