Helmets are improving all the time, as technologies improve and certifications get more advanced. TSG was the first company to become CPSC certified and continues to update its products for maximum protection and the best fit.
“We are a wild bunch of former pro snowboarders, freeskiers, skaters, BMXers, MTBers and all-round thrill seekers, who just happen to be science-minded perfectionists: we’re all about creating the best protection possible." –TSG
The TSG Skate/BMX helmet is the standard shape BMX lid. It’s well designed and offers ample protection.
“The Skate/BMX helmet was launched back in 1998, and is an absolute classic that served as a template for many others to follow. This regular shaped half-shell lid became famous in 1999 when it protected skateboard legend Tony Hawk from a serious injury while attempting a full loop." –TSG
Its hard shell construction combines a super strong injection-moulded outer shell and a shock absorbing EPS inner shell. There are thirteen vents to make sure there’s enough air flowing through.
To optimise how it feels on your head, TSG have something called the ‘Tuned Fit System’. This allows the rider to adjust their fit using different thickness pads around the inside of the helmet. Each helmet comes with two different sizes of anti-allergenic, hand washable pads, so you should be able to get it feeling just right.
“The TSG Skate/BMX Helmet – standard shape, well designed, ample protection, good value."
TSG’s motto is ‘Progressive Protection Gear For Riders By Riders.’ They’re right when they say your body and your brain are your two most valuable assets, so what they’ve done is invested in the best design, materials and manufacturing processes possible to protect them.
“Back in 1988, we simply couldn’t find protective gear that measured up to our high expectations, so we decided to make our own. With years of riding already behind us, we knew exactly what we wanted to make. And, with years of field-testing ahead of us we couldn’t wait to get started!
Today, TSG remains privately owned and operated, and we are more dedicated than ever to making the best protective gear in the world. Gear that constantly raises the bar in terms of style, comfort, design, technology - and, above all, safety." –TSG
