How good does this look?! The Flybikes Proton seriously had us questioning what a complete bike is expected to look like these days, as this thing genuinely looks like a custom build.
Flybikes began in 1999 in Vigo, Spain. A beautiful place! The guys have a crazy passion for BMX bikes and strive for perfection in how their products look and how their parts ride. There are some signature design aspects in Flybikes parts that let you know they’re part of the family as soon as you see them. From the little tree insignia to their clever and stylish design principles, Flybikes stuff is carefully dialled. The Flybikes team has always been strong, supporting some of the world’s most stylish and most progressive BMX riders, from icons like Ruben Alcantara and Sergio Layos to future legends Courage Adams and Devon Smillie.
The Flybikes Proton is one of their best selling complete bikes, and you can see why. This bike is ready for anything. It’s solid from front to back. Full 4130 construction says it all – this bike doesn’t compromise.
Highlights on the spec include the Trebol hardware – from the three-piece cranks to the sealed hubs, it feels reliable and looks stylish. On the subject of hubs, you can choose whether you want a freecoaster or a regular cassette hub. Flybikes have also blessed this bike with the Rampera signature Ruben tyres and graphite pedals, Devon grips, and some of Flybikes’ very nice brake hardware (should you choose to use it.)

The colour combo is a classic – raw frame, black forks, black bars. It’s nice to be able to see the welds on the frame, everyone loves the rainbow effect...
Geometry is balanced, but nice and responsive. 75º on the headtube, 21" toptube, 13.2" chainstays.
Finally, the Proton comes with a pair of steel pegs to make this bike truly ready for any terrain
