MGP’S CONTINUED BMX FAILURE
Scooter giants Mad Gear Pro have tried, time and again to break the BMX market and failed. The reason this is a positive, is because of the strength of the core industry. Or as they like to put it, and I quote “The Roman Catholics”, who are smart enough to keep these guys at arms length. The scooter industry has officially been on the slide for a number of years, and because of MGP’s “cash wealth” they thought it’d be nice and easy to bridge the gap from scooters to BMX. However, what they failed to understand is BMXers are cool, and everything they do, isn’t! After getting lucky with a scooter boom, they continue to clutch at straws as to what to do next. It’s clear that the work done by rider owned companies is way too powerful to be infiltrated by a cocky company, with the primary aim of getting rich, and failing at it miserably.
